After my last blog post in December 2012, my plan was to take a break for a couple of weeks. That break turned into a year plus a couple of weeks.

2013 was exciting, interesting and engaging. But it was also just a little insane. For most of the year I felt over-committed and over-worked, running on adrenaline and wracking up hours and hours of time in lieu. Mentally it was like that feeling when you’re a kid running down a steep hill, barely in control, realising you can’t stop, flailing wildly just to remain upright.

And, as I hadn’t been blogging long enough for it to become a habit, it was one of the first things to go. But, with a new year and a new outlook, it’s time to pick it up again. So here it is: Context Junky, redux.

Coming up, posts on archives, riot grrrl collections, newspaper clippings, the need to consider non-traditional records, technological change and more. I’m aiming for an average of one post a week so keep checking in. And if there’s anything you would like to see please drop me a line.
